Kanban board, Slack thinking indicator and a native Teams tab
Service Desk
We're making moves towards a more human-like response approach, with earlier indicators of unhelpful responses.
- Always-on Slack thinking indicator: Kin now shows Slack's native “thinking...” status on every message instead of a temporary chat bubble, and old greeting-message settings have been retired.
- The Kanban board on conversations is now live!

Runbooks
Child runbook editing is back: Admins can once again tweak or archive a single event or meeting inside a child or cohort runbook for those one-off cases, without touching the parent runbook.
Integrations
Microsoft Teams revamp: Requests can now be created and tracked right from a native Microsoft Teams personal tab (browse requests, threaded history, follow-ups, status updates), with status card and markdown fixes. Slack to follow.
Workflows
- No more blank-field blowups: Workflow and Business Process actions with optional HRIS fields no longer fail the whole run just because those fields were left empty.
- Pickers that actually get you: Slack form dropdowns now show browsable options right away and match how people actually type and search.
Platform
- Rebrand rollout continues: a new warm visual theme and a collapsible, resizable navigation rail have landed, with polish across tooltips, alignment, icons, and colour.
- CSAT, your way: Superadmins can now fully configure the CSAT question sent when a human closes a conversation.
Big things coming next week
Replies from human agents will show profile photo and name in Slack, no longer 'Kinfolk', with the mention of the name as 'answered by'. This does not mean names will be clickable so requesters can navigate to profile, as it's sent 'from app.' Consistent when replying from Jira to Slack also.
