Flexible runbook scheduling and a finished navigation

Runbooks

• Around-the-clock scheduling. The event send-time picker now covers the complete 0:00–23:30 range, including midnight, so nothing forces the first send to start at 1am.
• Longer comms windows. Runbook comms can now run up to 200 work days from the start date, enough room for extended journeys like maternity leave.
• Customization warnings. Editing anything on an event within an assignee's runbook now breaks its sync with the parent event, and we tell you when it happens.

Integrations

Workday connector — added terminate and change-job actions, plus connection-test support, for Workday-connected customers.

Platform

Navigation, finished. This week wraps up the final round of changes to the new navigation:

• Refined sub-nav. New sub-nav sections with a page heading that follows the active item, so you always know where you are.
• Tighter tables. Reduced padding across every table for better high-level visibility.
• Settings, one click away. A settings toggle now lives in the bottom left, ready whenever you need it.
• A proper welcome. First-time visitors to the new nav get a one-time modal with a heading, preview and five Q&A sections.

Service Desk

Kin replies as you: responses from the back end of Kin will render as the user in Slack, with an 'app' indication next to the name. Clicking the name or profile photo does not drop you into a DM with that person.

Big things coming next week

Runbook analytics: “Runbooks at a Glance” and “Runbooks over time” now track Failed, Booked, and completion counts.

Service Desk answer ratings (Slack): Kin's AI answers in Slack will soon carry 👍/👎 buttons, capturing feedback per answer instead of waiting for the 30-minute end-of-conversation prompt. This retires the “Did I answer your question?” prompt and is available from the week of August 24, 2026 (Slack only, for now).
