Date pickers, flexible approvers and model 5.4 by default

AI Workflows

• Date fields now use a date picker: date inputs in the workflow builder (like “Request time off” and “Terminate employee”) now show a proper calendar picker instead of a plain text box. You can still switch to inserting a variable when a date should come from an earlier step.
• Choose who approves a request: Approval steps in the workflow builder can now be routed to a specific person, as well as the requester's manager.

Runbooks

Bulk activate/pause for parent runbooks: Admins can now activate or pause all runbooks under a parent in one action, regardless of the current mix of active and paused runbooks underneath.

Custom, editable collaborator roles: Collaborator role names in Runbooks (e.g. “Manager”) can now be renamed to match your organization's own terminology, and new roles can be added, with no impact on existing runbooks, forms, or automations.

Service Desk

Outlook-aligned email threading: Kin will better match how Outlook groups email conversations, so related messages land in the right conversation instead of being merged.

5.4 is now the default model for conversations. After a 6-week eval, escalations decreased versus 4.1, knowledge retrieval was up, and the “Did I answer your question?” rate held steady. 5.4 resolves more on its own and is more upfront about going to find the right answer.
